One of the most satisfying things about coming home after a holiday is giving all the microbiology a bit of love so it can return the favour

Starters refreshed and one used to produce a simple white bread with 5% each whole wheat and whole rye. I’ll use the other one in a day or two, and see to the yoghurt tomorrow.

Refreshing my memory

These were in the fridge an extra 20 minutes, so there’s a learning right there.

This Plumeria blossom has been struggling for days to open. It is still quite cold. But I have never had flowers this early nor on a tree as bare.

Did a bit of domestic baking today.

I believe this is Tecoma stans, and it really is that colour. Scarcely bloomed last year and I was questioning whether to keep it, so this year it looks like it will be putting on a fine show. This is just the start.
